If you know someone within the UT community who is improving the human condition through community service, recognize those efforts with a nomination for a Jefferson Award.

UT has partnered with the national Jefferson Awards program to recognize exemplary service. As a “Champion” sponsor, UT will honor one individual each month with a prestigious Jefferson Awards medallion, recognition in University publications and eligibility for a national Jefferson Award.

The first honoree will be named in February. Submitting a nomination is simple. Go to the new Jefferson Awards Web page at http://www.utoledo.edu/utcommcenter/jeffersonaward/nominations.html and complete the text boxes. With a click, your nomination will be sent to the Jefferson Awards Selection Committee. Nominations are due Monday, Jan. 26, with the first honoree announced in early February.

In addition to partnering with the national Jefferson Awards program, UT’s partners include the College of Law, The Independent Collegian and UTTV.
