Because of extreme weather conditions during the week of Feb. 4, the deadline for proposals for the University’s Research Symposium in April has been extended to Friday, Feb. 15.

The Office of the Provost invites all faculty, staff and graduate students (with approval of their faculty advisors) to submit proposals for the first UT Research Symposium to be held Wednesday, April 17, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Nitschke Technology Commercialization Complex, with a panel presentation immediately following from 5 to 6 p.m. in Nitschke Auditorium.

This year’s inaugural symposium is titled “Impacting Our Region Through Community-Engaged Scholarship.” It will focus on community-engaged research, scholarship and creative activities in diverse disciplines in order to highlight the strong partnerships established for the mutual benefit of UT and the region.

Session formats include both poster and booth presentations, with easel stands and tables to be provided. Presenters will be notified of their acceptance no later than Friday, March 1.

Proposal submissions should be made online using the form provided on the UT Research Symposium website, where guidelines and frequently asked questions also are available.
