More than 60 companies to participate in Feb. 13 career fair
By Bob Mackowiak : February 13th, 2009Forward-thinking companies are always searching for talented people, even during tough economic times. That’s why 67 companies will participate in a career fair for students and alumni of The University of Toledo College of Business Administration Friday, Feb. 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Student Union Auditorium on Main Campus.
Employers will be looking for students to participate in business internship programs as well as for seniors and graduates seeking full-time employment.
Among the companies planning to participate are Owens-Illinois, Marathon Oil Co., Savage & Associates, Sherwin Williams Co., J.M. Smucker Co., Therma-Tru Doors and the Internal Revenue Service.
“This semiannual career fair is part of what we do to prepare our students for their futures,” said Dr. Terribeth Gordon-Moore, associate dean in the College of Business Administration. “We strive to provide the necessary resources so our students can conduct their own tailored job searches.”
She added, “When we invited companies to participate in this career fair, we were very pleased that almost as many companies as typically take part will again come to our campus to find the talent they need. This demonstrates that companies continue to look for dynamic individuals with high-quality business degrees.”
