The Healthy New You program at The University of Toledo comes to an end this week, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the road for being healthy.

“You have to continue with these changes,” said Andrea Masters, assistant director of Rocket Wellness at The University of Toledo. “It’s a lifestyle change, not just diet or exercise. In order to see changes and improve your health, you need to keep it up and refocus on why you’re doing this.”

The challenge for participants this week is to watch one of the Impact Health Solutions seminars offered on the Rocket Wellness website.

Going forward, it’s important to stay active. A good way to keep the momentum going is through participating in the American Heart Walk in Toledo Saturday, May 30. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., and the day will feature a 5K run, light breakfast, lunch, kids zone, and one-mile and 5K walks.

To register, visit heart.org/toledowalk and fill out the information then select “Join a Team” and “UTMC” if you want to join the University’s team. There is a $25 suggested donation for the walk and a $30 suggested donation for the run.
