Signs from a hate group were found posted off campus near The University of Toledo on March 7. The signs have been removed.

“As President [Sharon L.] Gaber and I have said repeatedly, we have no tolerance for this kind of activity at UT,” said Dr. Willie McKether, vice president for diversity and inclusion.

The University of Toledo continues to welcome and value people of all racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic, national and international backgrounds.

McKether pointed to a statement often repeated by Gaber: “We believe our diversity makes us stronger, and we work hard to create and foster an inclusive environment.”

UT remains committed to treating every person with respect and equality.

Gaber said, “It is the contributions of and collaboration with people from backgrounds different than our own that allow us to excel in education, research and economic development, and contribute to society.”
