The Ohio Aerospace Institute and The University of Toledo are hosting a one-day seminar to offer essential information for crafting competitive grant proposals for U.S. small business program funding.

The seminar will be Wednesday, April 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Nitschke Technology Commercialization Complex.

The seminar will provide up-to-date information about the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs at the Department of Defense, National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health.

Training will include:

• Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer program basics, including the latest policy changes;

• Details of unique agency requirements and how to address them;

• How to find the right solicitation to align with long-term objectives;

• Preparing the components of your proposal for maximum impact;

• And how to approach commercialization planning and connect with commercial partners.

The seminar is funded in part through the Ohio Aerospace Institute’s cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration and is conducted by the BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting.

Ohio Aerospace Institute’s staff will be on hand to answer questions about their small business services and to assist with network connections.
