University of Toledo junior women’s basketball player Naama Shafir will be featured in the “Faces in the Crowd” section (page 23) of this week’s Sports Illustrated.

Subscribers will receive the issue Wednesday. The issue will hit the newsstands Thursday and also can be seen online Thursday at www.si.com/faces.

Shafir led the Rockets to the WNIT Championship following a 76-68 triumph over USC in the title game before a record crowd of 7,301 at Savage Arena April 2. The native of Hoshaya, Israel, scored 40 points against USC and was named WNIT Tournament MVP as Toledo (29-8) became the first MAC school to capture a postseason basketball title.
