New copiers and printers to be installed on HSC
By Staff : July 2nd, 2009IKON Office Solutions will begin replacing the copier equipment on Health Science Campus on Monday, July 6. The replacement process is scheduled to be completed by July 17.
According to David Wahr, interim director of auxiliary services, the new devices will replace the existing equipment and look similar to the current machines. All of the new copiers will have the ability to perform multiple functions — fax, scan, print and copy.
In addition to the replacement of existing black-and-white printers and copiers, Wahr said six color devices will be strategically located in the following Health Science Campus buildings: Mulford Library, Health Education, Dowling Hall and Glendale Medical Center.
Wahr said the implementation of the new machines would not cause an interruption of services because the old devices will not be removed until the new ones are installed and working. He added that IKON employees will help individuals set up their computers to print to the new printers.
