The NCAA released its final home attendance figures for the 2014-15 season and Toledo finished 28th in the country, averaging 3,636 fans per contest.
Fans came out to support the Rockets all season and in the WNIT.
UT drew at least 3,700 fans on nine occasions during the year, including a season-best 5,056 fans against Ball State (Feb. 7). The crowd versus the Cardinals also was the Rockets’ largest since drawing 5,712 fans vs. Kent State Feb. 16, 2013.
The Rockets have ranked in the top 30 nationally in home attendance each of the last four seasons under Head Coach Tricia Cullop. The Midnight Blue and Gold finished No. 28 (3,748) in 2011-12, No. 25 (4,012) in 2012-13, and most recently No. 24 (3,932) in 2013-14.
Toledo, which advanced to the second round of the 2015 Postseason WNIT for the fifth time in the last seven seasons, outdrew a majority of the 2015 NCAA Tournaments teams, including Stanford (3,574), Vanderbilt (3,552), Texas (3,385), North Carolina (3,310), Florida State (3,155), Arizona State (3,064), LSU (2,839), California (2,652) and Dayton (2,538), to name a few.
In seven years under Cullop, the Rockets are an impressive 92-23 (.800) on their home court, including 50-10 (.833) against conference opponents.
