Toledo placed six Rockets on the 2017-18 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team.

UT had a school record seven members on the scholar squad last year.

Junior Natcha Daengpiem, junior Pimchanok Kawil, junior Hannah Kochendoerfer, junior Pinyada Kuvanun, sophomore Donchanok Toburint and sophomore Saranlak Tumfong each earned a spot on the squad.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50, and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50 percent (Division I) or 66 percent (Division II and III) of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.

The six Rockets selected to the squad each possess a grade-point average of 3.6 or higher.

During the 2017-18 academic year, Toledo posted an athletic department best 3.776 GPA in the fall semester and ranked second with a 3.673 GPA in spring semester.

Tumfong paced the Rockets with a 3.904 GPA followed by Daengpiem (3.884), Kochendoerfer (3.879), Toburint (3.734), Kawil (3.675) and Kuvanun (3.610).
