UT shot a blistering team score of one-over par 569 (284-285) to finish 14 strokes ahead of second place Seattle’s total of 583 (293-290). The victory is the first for the Rockets this fall and their most recent since they secured the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational in April in Muncie, Ind.

The trio of senior Chris Selfridge (70-71), junior Otto Black (69-72) and freshman Stephen Watts (71-70) led the charge for the Midnight Blue and Gold by finishing in a third-place tie at one-under par 141.

Senior Mike Lancaster (74-74) and freshman Colin Joseph (76-72) also had solid efforts for Toledo, tying for 24th place at six-over par 148.

Senior Pat Cermak also competed in the two-day tourney as an individual and tied for 52nd place at 13-over par 155.

Individually, Georgetown’s Cole Berman (71-69) and William & Mary’s Alex Hicks (72-68) tied for medalist honors, but Berman emerged as the overall winner in a one-hole playoff.

UT will wrap up its fall schedule by hosting the Rocket Individual Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 27-28, at Belmont Country Club in Perrysburg. Headlining this year’s field will be two Mid-American Conference teams, Kent State and Bowling Green. Also making up the six-team field will be Indiana, Michigan State and Valparaiso.
