Geography students take home awards

Three UT graduate students won awards for their presentations at the joint annual meeting of the East Lakes Division of the Association of American Geographers and the Ontario Division of the Canadian Association of Geographers.

Evgeny Panchenko took second place in the master’s student presentations for “Spatial Analysis of the Unfavorable Geotechnical Dynamics Dependence on the Landscape Position for a Road Build on Permafrost.”

Brandon Luke placed second in the doctoral student presentations for “The Entrapment at Pompeii.”

Qifeng Wang placed third in the doctoral student presentations for “Highway Capacity Pressure Test in the Great Lakes Area by the Year 2040.”

The annual meeting took place on UT’s Main Campus during fall semester.
