Skelton will present a master class Saturday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. and a recital Sunday, Nov. 23, at 3 p.m. in the Center for Performing Arts Recital Hall on Main Campus.

His recital program will include works by Liszt, Wagner and Bartok.

Skelton has performed in the United States, Europe and Asia, and has been featured on many public radio and television stations, including NPR's "Audiophile Audition," "Performance Today," "All Things Considered" and "Morning Edition," and on radio in China and television in Romania.

To date, he has recorded 10 discs of solo and chamber repertoire for Centaur, Albany, Crystal and Naxos Records; this work includes a CD with two piano partner William Bolcom, composer and pianist.

A devoted teacher, Skelton was honored recently by the University of Michigan as the recipient of the prestigious Harold Haugh Award for excellence in studio teaching. At Michigan, he is professor of piano and director of doctoral studies in piano performance. He also has served on the faculties of Manhattan School of Music and Missouri State University.
