The theatre and film department will hold auditions this week and next for two fall productions, which are part of the “American Voices” 2002-03 season.
Auditions for Kenneth Lonergan’s “This Is Our Youth” will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 3-4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for Performing Arts Center Theatre. Roles for two men and one woman in their late teens or early 20s will be cast for the production, which will be performed Oct. 11-13 and Oct. 16-20.
Those auditioning should prepare a two-minute monologue from a modern play and read “This Is Our Youth,” according to director Dr. Daniel Watermeier, professor of theatre and associate dean of visual and performing arts in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Callbacks will take place Thursday, Sept. 5.
Auditions for “Time Flies,” six one-act plays by David Ives, are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 9-10, at 7 p.m. in the Center for Performing Arts Center Theatre. Jennifer Rockwood, lecturer in the theatre and film department, will direct the production.
Perusal scripts for both plays are available for review from the theatre and film department, located in the Center for Performing Arts Room 1034.
For information on “This Is Our Youth,” call Watermeier at 419.530.5146; for information on “Time Flies,” call Rockwood at 419.530.4922.
