Beethoven sonatas for violin, piano to be performed |

Violinist Rico McNeela and pianist Dr. James Wilhelmsen will perform a recital of works from Ludwig Van Beethoven, Sunday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Center for Performing Arts Recital Hall on Main Campus.
Music selections will include Sonata No. 2 in A Major, Op. 12 No. 2, Sonata No. 5 in F Major “Spring,” Op. 24, Sonata No. 4 in A Minor, Op. 23, and Sonata No. 8 in G Major Op. 30, No. 3.
McNeela is an associate professor of music at UT, where also is director of orchestral studies. He conducts the University Symphony Orchestra, teaches violin and viola, conducting, and coaches chamber music.
Wilhelmsen owns and directs the Clarkston Conservatory of Music in Clarkston, Mich. The former member of the piano faculty of the University of Michigan School of Music in Ann Arbor recently completed a successful three-week tour of Australia with the Verdehr Trio.
