The University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University will compete against each other to see who can save more lives at the third annual Blood Bowl.
This year the theme is “This time we’re out for blood.”
The Blood Bowl, sponsored by the American Red Cross, is an event to see which university can collect the most pints of blood. The winning university will be awarded the traveling trophy at the UT-BG game on Tuesday, Nov. 23.
The UT drive will take place Tuesday through Friday, Oct. 26-29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Student Union Ingman Room.
To be qualified to give blood, donors must be at least 17 years old, have not given blood in 56 days, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health and feeling well on the day of donation.
The drive is seeking volunteers as well as people to donate. Participants will receive free food and a T-shirt.
For more information on the event, e-mail utblooddrive@hotmail.com.
