Asha-Toledo to Present Indo-American Movie |

Asha-Toledo will hold a screening of the movie “Flavors” on Sunday, Oct. 24, at 5:30 p.m. in the Driscoll Alumni Center Auditorium at The University of Toledo.
“Flavors” is a comedy/drama that takes a look at contemporary Indo-American life. The movie features Anjan Srivastava, Bharati Achrekar, Reef Karim, international fashion model Jicky Schnee, former Miss India-USA Pooja Kumar and former Miss India-Canada Rishma Malik.
Asha-Toledo is the local branch of the international organization Asha, a nonprofit group with volunteers who want to bring change by educating underprivileged children to India. Asha members work to identify needed education-related projects and support them monetarily or through other means.
Tickets are $5 for UT students, $8 in advance for the general public, or $10 at the door. Tickets are available from all Asha volunteers and at Krishna Groceries, 3301 N. Holland Sylvania Road; Reddy Food n’ Spices, 341 E. Lincoln St.; and the Hindu Temple, 4420 King Road, Sylvania, Ohio.
All donations and proceeds will go directly toward an education-related project for blind children in India.
