The Association of Black Faculty and Staff scholarship banquet, "An Evening of Academic Excellence," will take place on Thursday, April 17, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in Student Union Room 2592.
The event will recognize and reward eight African-American students with scholarships. Dr. Tyrone Bledsoe, vice president of student affairs, will be the guest speaker. Derrick Thomas and Katrese Poore-Sutton, vocal students of Barbara Rondelli-Perry, professor of music, will perform.
Costs are $30, $55 for a couple and $240 for a table of eight. Checks can be made out to the Association of Black Faculty and Staff and mailed to Beverly Mayo, mail stop 509.
Reservations for the Association of Black Faculty and Staff scholarship banquet are due by Friday, April 11, at 5 p.m.
