    Attention All Job Seekers
    By Rebecca K. Shell
    Apr 15, 2002

    Hundreds of students from several area universities and community colleges will descend on The University of Toledo’s Savage Hall Friday with the hope of landing a full-time job or summer internship.

    The University of Toledo is hosting the Collegiate Employ-Net Job Fair Friday, April 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Savage Hall.

    According to Jean Baker, assistant director of Career Services, they expect about 85 recruiters at this year’s fair, down from the 130 that attended last year. “Because there will be less recruiters at the event, it is very important that students come prepared,” said Baker. “It’s vital that students come dressed in business attire, with an excellent resume and that they have knowledge about the companies they are interested in.”

    Employers from Marathon Ashland Pipeline, Convergys Corp., MBNA Midwest, the Ohio Department of Taxation, Phillip Morris USA and St. Luke’s Hospital will be interviewing for full-time entry level, part-time, summer, internship and co-op positions.

    The job fair is free to UT students as well as students and alumni from:
    · Bowling Green State University;
    · Bluffton College;
    · Davis College;
    · Defiance College;
    · Heidelberg University;
    · Hillsdale Community College;
    · Lourdes College;
    · Monroe Community College;
    · Northwest State Community College;
    · Owens Community College;
    · Siena Heights Community College;
    · Tiffin University; and
    · The University of Findlay.

    The event is open to all other job seekers with a bachelor’s degree at the cost of $5.
