    By Kathleen Amerkhanian
    Oct 24, 2005

Fritz Byers, who has served as general counsel to Block Communications (formerly Blade Communications) since 1990, will talk about the Freedom of Information Act Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. in the Law Center Auditorium.

His talk is titled “The Evolution of Legal Standards as Applied to the Internet.”

Byers is a solo practitioner in Toledo and a part-time instructor at the UT College of Law, where he teaches Communications Law, a class that explores legal and practical issues arising in connection with various media. The class covers issues specific to newspapers, television and radio stations, cable television and other video providers, and the Internet.

For more information on the free, public talk, call the Law Communications Office at 419.530.2712.
