Reed Hopper, principal attorney for the Pacific Legal Foundation, will speak about Rapanos v. United States the day after he argues the case in front of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Hopper will speak at noon Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the Law Center Auditorium about the case, which involves commerce clause and statutory challenges to the federal power to regulate wetlands in Michigan.
His speech is part of the College of Law’s “Day After Series,” which features attorneys who have recently presented oral arguments to the court.
In addition to his work with the foundation based in Sacramento, Calif., Hopper has litigated precedent-setting environmental and land use cases and has been a part of national and state committees to draft and revise environmental laws and regulations.
