The theatre and film department will hold auditions this week for its spring production of Lanford Wilson’s “Fifth of July.”
Auditions will take place Monday, Feb. 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, Feb. 4, from 4 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Center for Performing Arts Studio Theatre. Roles for four men and four women will be cast for the production, which will be performed in April.
Those auditioning should prepare a two-minute monologue from an American play written in the past 30 years, according to director Stephen Berwind, UT assistant professor of theatre. Actors also will be asked to read from the script and to do an improvisation.
Callbacks will take place Thursday, Feb. 6.
Perusal scripts for the play are available for review from the theatre and film department, located in the Center for Performing Arts Room 1034.
For more information, call Berwind at 419.530.2680 or the theatre and film department at 419.530.2202.
