Author to Sign Book Nov. 20
    By Vicki L. Kroll
    Nov 18, 2004

Barbara Floyd will discuss and sign copies of her new book, Toledo in the 19th Century, on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. at Thackeray’s Books.

The book takes a pictorial look at Toledo’s legacy as a working-class town with more than 200 vintage photographs, most of which are from the Ward M. Canaday Center for Special Collections. Floyd is the director of the center and university archivist.

Toledo in the 19th Century is part of the Images of America series issued by Arcadia Publishing. The book is one of 188 works included in the UT Authors and Artists Exhibit, which opens Thursday, Nov. 18, and is on display through Dec. 30. To read more about the exhibit, click here.

For more information, call Thackeray’s Books at 419.537.9259.
