Junior high students to visit College of Law
    By Megan Lewis
    May 12, 2008

The Color of Justice Program will take place in UT’s Law Center Auditorium on Main Campus from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 13.

The goal of the program is to expose junior high school students to careers in the legal profession. Seven students from each of the seven Toledo Public Schools junior highs were chosen by their principals to participate in the program.

A brief mock trial based on an actual Lucas County case will be presented by attorneys Ronnie Wingate and Ian English and Judge Charles Doneghy.

In addition, legal professionals will partake in the event to offer inspiration for the students.

The Color of Justice Program is presented in collaboration by the UT College of Law, the Toledo Women’s Bar Association and the Thurgood Marshall Law Association.
