Rocket fans: Need tickets to UT sporting events? Do not go to Savage Hall, which is under construction. Proceed directly to the third floor of the Glass Bowl Press Tower, where the Athletic Ticket Office has moved.
The office will maintain its regular hours of operation in the new location.
With demolition and construction at Savage Hall kicking into high gear, the coaches and athletic staff temporarily have been moved into the Glass Bowl Press Tower and into the Snyder Memorial Building.
Administrative staff, along with the men's and women's basketball coaching staffs, now are located in the third floor of the Glass Bowl Press Tower.
The coaching staffs for track and field, swimming, tennis, volleyball and golf have been relocated to the Snyder Memorial Building. The Savage Hall athletic training staff also has been moved to Snyder.
Deputy Athletic Director Mike Karabin, who is coordinating the project for the Athletic Department, said it has not been determined when staff will move back to Savage Hall.
The Athletics Complex and Savage Hall project is scheduled to be completed this fall prior to the start of the 2008-09 basketball season. The project is being funded by University and community commitments. A lead gift of $5 million for the Athletics Complex and Savage renovation came in 2006 from longtime UT supporters Chuck and Jackie Sullivan.
The Building Champions Capital Campaign also includes the construction of an indoor practice facility located adjacent to Savage Hall to be completed in 2009.
