Bomb threat disrupts classes at Stranahan Hall
    By Staff
    Oct 16, 2008

Classes and work were disrupted Thursday afternoon in Stranahan Hall after someone called in two bomb threats.

The University of Toledo Police Department (UTPD) was alerted to the threats at approximately 3:05 p.m. and quickly evacuated the building, which houses the College of Business.

UTPD then swept the building room-by-room with its K-9 unit, but found no threat.

Police say they take such incidents very seriously and they are working to identify and file criminal charges against the caller.

UTPD’s K-9 unit is one of the only in northwest Ohio that specializes in the detection of explosives.
