    By Vicki L. Kroll
    Jul 19, 2007

Faculty and staff are invited to come together for a picnic in honor of UT’s one-year anniversary Monday, July 23.

The event will feature food, beverages, music and door prizes from 1 to 5 p.m. on the Scott Park Campus.

President Lloyd Jacobs encourages employees to attend the festivities for fun and fellowship.

Several UT and local leaders are scheduled to say a few words at 1 p.m. They are Jacobs; Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur; Dr. Jeffrey Gold, provost and executive vice president for health affairs and College of Medicine dean; Dr. Rosemary Haggett, Main Campus provost and executive vice president for academic affairs; Ohio Sen. Randy Gardner; and State Reps. Edna Brown, Peter Uvagi and Mark Wagoner.

Round-trip transportation will be provided from Lot 1 South by the Health and Human Services Building on Main Campus and from the Mulford Library Circle on the Health Science Campus.

Parking will be available in Lot 22 in front of the Scott Park Student Center and Faculty Annex.

Box lunches will be available for third-shift employees in the Skyview Café Atrium on the Health Science Campus and in the Student Classroom Annex on Main Campus.
