College of Arts and Sciences faculty named to editorial, advisory boards |

Four College of Arts and Sciences faculty members have been tabbed in recent months for duties on journal editorial and advisory boards.
Dr. Jiquan Chen, professor of environmental sciences, has joined the editorial board of Forest Ecology & Management, an international journal and the most cited publication in forestry, while Dr. James Benjamin, professor and chairman of the Department of Communication, has been elected research chair of the Communication Technology Division of the 3,600-member Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, an organization of university professors who teach journalism and mass communication courses.
Dr. Laura D. Seligman, associate professor of psychology, was appointed to a three-year term as a consulting editor for the quarterly journal, Clinical Child and Family Psychology Review, which publishes original research reviews, conceptual and theoretical papers, and related work in the area of the behavioral sciences that pertains to infants, children, adolescents and families.
Dr. Jeanne Funk, Distinguished University Professor of Psychology, has been appointed to the advisory board of Education.com, an online editorial site with more than 4,000 reference articles about raising kids, along with online groups in which parents can interact with each other and with education experts. Education.com, headquartered in Redwood City, Calif., was founded in 2006.
