| Dr. David Krol, co-chair of the UT Charitable Campaign, announced that $196,993 had been raised at the thank-you breakfast in November, but more donations still needed to be counted. The UT community has given more than $224,000 with donations still coming in. |
The University of Toledo finished another successful and generous Community Charitable Campaign season when campaign officials announced that UT members raised more than $224,000, with donations still coming in.
“I want to thank everyone who donated to the many charitable organizations during this year’s campaign,” said Dr. David Krol, professor and chair of pediatrics and campaign co-chair. “It was a real pleasure to help coordinate such a positive effort, especially when it generates such positive outcomes for so many.”
UT community members were able to donate to more than 200 organizations and while some donations may benefit statewide initiatives, the vast majority of the money stays in local communities.
“David set a high bar for us to meet next year, but as the positive spirit around UT grows, I’m confident we’ll be able to keep engaging with the community around us through the campaign next year,” said Lisa Hasselschwert, director of Rocket Solutions Central and campaign co-chair who will lead next year’s effort.
This year’s campaign topped last year’s total of $219,006.
