If you have an innovative business idea but need a little help whipping it into shape, the perfect training opportunity is just around the corner.
A technology boot camp called “Building and Funding Your Technology-Based Business” is being held Friday, March 14, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hilton Toledo on the Health Science Campus.
The event is tailored to help technology-based entrepreneurs identify critical issues related to business plans and to discover the keys to designing, starting and running high-growth businesses.
Specifically, topics covered will include building a foundation for your business, financing your business, lessons learned from successful entrepreneurs, sales and marketing, legal and accounting, and human resources and operations.
Chip Hambro, vice president and former chief operating officer of First Solar, will be the keynote speaker.
The event is being sponsored by Rocket Ventures and Launch, programs of the Regional Growth Partnership.
To register, visit http://rocketventures.org/Events/BootCamp/Registration.php. If you sign up by March 7, you can save $50.
For more information contact Julie Myers, Rocket Ventures marketing specialist, at 419.252.2700, ext. 310, or at myers@rgp.org.
