The Department of Finance and Administration will undergo staffing changes as it begins the process to recruit a new associate vice president.
Bryan Dadey, associate vice president for finance, has accepted a new position at Wayne State University. His last day at UT will be July 27.
“Bryan has been a hardworking and effective contributor for his nearly 14 years at UT, and we wish him well as he moves on in his career,” said Larry Kelley, executive vice president for finance and administration, and chief financial officer.
A reception for Dadey will be held Wednesday, July 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. in University Hall Room 3300.
The search for a new associate vice president for finance, who also will serve as treasurer, has begun, and the University plans to have someone in place later this year, Kelley said.
During the transition, the following staff members can provide assistance:
• Financial transactions and reporting questions should be directed to Patty Peterson, controller.
• Procurement questions should be directed to Jen Pastorek, senior director of supply chain management.
• Student accounts questions should be directed to Sherri Morris, manager of student accounts.
• Collections questions should be directed to Stephanie Blausey, director of loans and special accounts.
• Treasury questions should be directed to Kim Beaubien, interim assistant treasurer.
Additionally, Matt Schroeder will join the Department of Finance and Administration as associate vice president for budget and planning effective Aug. 1, in addition to continuing his role as chief of staff for UT President Sharon L. Gaber.
Schroeder has been with the institution for nearly 20 years serving in various University and UT Foundation leadership positions. He brings a strong and broad understanding of the University and the fiscal issues that influence the institution’s environment, Kelley said.
Diane Miller, associate vice president for government relations, will take on additional responsibilities as interim deputy chief of staff. Miller has played an important role in the University’s advocacy efforts at the state and federal levels for the last 11 years, Schroeder said. Prior to that, she was on staff for Sen. Mike DeWine in Washington and Toledo.
“Both Matt and Diane bring substantial experience and credentials as they broaden their roles at UT,” Kelley said. “Please join me in wishing Bryan well and welcoming Matt and Diane to their new positions.”
